In the current issue of the Polish-English “Herito” quarterly various facets of the marriage of culture and politics are investigated by Anda Rottenberg, Ekaterina Andreeva, Ivan Čolović, Janusz Sepioł, and Bożena Gierat-Bieroń. In two articles, the current state of affairs in Hungary and Ukraine is shrewdly addressed by Katarzyna Jagodzińska’s and Żanna Komar’s discussions of the so-called “museum crises”.
Moreover, in the current issue:

• Joanna Sanetra-Szeliga writes about the European Capital of Culture Maribor 2012 and talks to Suzana Žilič Fišer and Mitja Čander, the creators of the city’s programme;
• Joan Roca i Albert introduces the Barcelona City History Museum to the readers of HERITO;
• Drago Jančar addresses Ivo Andrić’s political in-correctness;
• Anna Saciuk-Gąsowska, Zoltán Gyalókay, Jiří Fajt, Wojciech Wilczyk, and  Beata Nykiel share their impressions on new Central European exhibitions and books.

The quarterly is a unique forum for discussion on Central Europe, heritage, culture, our times and the future. Excellent graphic design and high quality print are what further distinguishes HERITO from other journals and magazines of its kind.
