A seminar prepared jointly by the ICC and the Centre for Historical Research of the Polish Academy of Science in Berlin devoted to the issues of heritage and memory will feature two separate panels: Transnational sites of memory in confrontation with national tradition and Heritage from the perspective of memory research, with speeches by Professor Hans Henning Hahn, Professor Jacek Purchla, Professor Robert Traba, Professor Krzysztof Pomian, Dr. Miloš Režnik, Dr. Andrij Portnow, Professor Csaba G. Kiss, Dr. Simona Škrabec. The session also includes a meeting with “witnesses of memory” from Belarus – Józef Porzecki, Anatoly Evmenkov and Father Jan Wasilewski.
