Participation in cultural networks

The activity of the ICC is based on cooperation with foreign partners – organisations, institutions, researchers and specialists. Through its membership in cultural networks and international organisations, the ICC participates in the development of international regulations in various areas of culture and in the debate on the fundamental issues relating to heritage and its preservation, and also monitors the ever growing body of research work and projects completed by cultural organisations and institutions. The ICC has signed cooperation agreements with the EU Institute in Japan, which is an association of four Japanese universities, and the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH).

Anna Lindh Euromediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue Between Cultures

The Foundation was formed on the initiative of the European Commission and the EUROMED Committee (Euro-Mediterranean Partnership) as a part of the so called Barcelona Process and it’s active in the EU member states, the Balkan countries, in the Middle East and in the northern Africa. Its goal is to promote intercultural dialogue, tolerance and respect. The International Cultural Centre plays the role of the head of the Polish ALF network. The secretariat of the Foundation is located in Alexandria, Egipt.

European Network of Cultural Administration Training Centres (ENCATC)

ENCATC is a European network gathering together higher educational institutions and training organizations dealing with cultural management education and training. Its main focus includes exchange of experience, carrying out common projects, promotion of mobility and research and improve education standards.

Culture Action Europe (former EFAH)

Culture Action Europe is a European advocacy and lobby network promoting the role of culture in the European Union. Its main goal is to influence European policies for more and better access to culture across the continent. It provides customized information and analysis of cultural policies, promotes exchange of information and opinions (to create common positions at the European level), organizes meetings and conferences, represents cultural sector at the European level.
At the moment the CAC is conducting an advocacy campaign We are more, which through the mobilization of the largest possible number of cultural operators aims at contributing to strengthening the recognition of the role of arts and culture in the development of our European societies. It will use the upcoming EU political and financial negotiations for the period 2014-2020 as a timely opportunity to develop and sharpen the arguments used when advocating for arts and culture (more funds for culture in the Culture Programme and European Structural Funds).

Europa Nostra

Europa Nostra is a pan-European federation of organisations and institutions in the field of cultural and environmental heritage preservation. It represents at the European level some 250 non-governmental organisations, 150 associate organisations and 1500 individual members from more than 50 countries. Together, they provide a network for dialogue and debate, celebrate the best heritage achievements; campaign against threats to vulnerable heritage buildings, sites and landscapes, and lobby for sustainable policies and high quality standards with regard to heritage.

CULTURELINK – Network of Networks for Research and Co-operation in Cultural Development

Established by UNESCO and the Council of Europe in 1989 the Culturelink is platform for research in the field of culture development, cultural policies and international cultural cooperation.

RIHA – International Association of Research Institutes in the History of Art

The purpose of RIHA, is to promote education and research in art history and related disciplines, to intensify cooperation between the institutes by facilitating the flow of information on scientific and administrative activities as well as the exchange of research findings, and to encourage the institutes to undertake joint projects.
In 2010 a RIHA Journal was created – an international e-journal presenting outstanding articles in English, French, German, Italia and Spanish.

CIHA - Comité International d'Histoire de l'Art

As its aims CIHA has the intensification of cooperation and fostering permanent links between art historians from all countries as well as the exchange of experience, research results and information on events and publications important for art history.
