5th Edition
In November 2011, the fifth edition of Thesaurus Poloniae – the grant programme of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for foreign researchers preoccupied with the cultural heritage of Poland and broadly conceived Central Europe – ended. Thirty three applications were submitted, out of which five projects were selected by the Evaluation Committee. Four projects were awarded with the Senior-type scholarship, and one project in the Junior category. The participants of the 5th edition of the programme were:

Senior Grant: Two research projects. One regards the history of the formation of the Polish national identity, the other regards multiethnic heritage of the Polish-Ukrainian borderlands.
Dr Yewsei Gendel, Minsk, Belarus
Senior Grant: The project concerns the history of the formation of the Belarusian national identity seen through relation with Russians, Poles and Jews.
Dr hab. Oleg Odnorożenko, The Ukrainian Academy of Science, Ukraine
Senior Grant: The project concerns the history of Ruthenian heraldic from 14th to the 18th c.
Dr Anežka Šimkova, Museum of Arts, Olomouc, Czech Republic
Senior Grant: The project concerns the comparison of the Polish and Czech artistic milieu at the beginning of the 20th c.
Tomoko Kakuyama, School of Cultural Science Saitama University, Japan
Junior Grant: The project concerns the research on the development of modernism in the Polish Applied Arts at the beginnigs of the 20th c.
