6th edition , Krakow 2011–2012
In 2001 the International Cultural Centre and the Małopolska School of Public Administration of the University of Economics in Krakow established the Academy of Heritage – a postgraduate study on managing cultural heritage.Classes on the theory and promotion of cultural heritage, management of culture, history of art and legal aspects of monuments’ protection have aroused a growing interest, and in 2011 the ICC and the MSAP are pleased to announce the 6th call for applications.

Organizational matters:
The programme of the 6th edition of the Academy of Heritage will be realized in two-semester course of study and will comprise 17 weekend meetings (Saturday, 9:00–18:30 and Sunday, 9:00–15.00) comprising lectures, workshops and seminars. Two field trips, outside of the city, dedicated to the problems of managing institutions of culture and managing cultural heritage will complement the study programme. The working language is Polish.Programme:
The Faculty of the Academy are outstanding specialists on culture management, heritage protection and law and administration, and the programme modules comprise:- the theory of cultural heritage
- legal and economic aspects of heritage protection
- history of art and culture – between the center and peripheries
- industry of culture and the forms of
- marketing, promotion and communication
- local government, urban planning and legal acts on monuments protection
Eligibility:
Applicants should have completed their graduate studies by the time of the Academy; the acquired background/profession is not taken into consideration.Cost of studies: 1500,00 zl/semester
